Grading in bouldering is subjective. In this post I will talk about the most popular grading systems in bouldering which include the V-grade system and the Font-grade system. In Australia the most commonly used is the V-grade. This grading system starts at v0 and currently goes up to v17. Add twenty one onto the V-grade for a rough comparison to roped climbing grades. For instance, if you are going to try a v5 the moves would equate to roughly the crux moves of a grade 26 climb.
